Riley Gene Ellison - August 2009 to May 2012

The are only a few adjectives that are lent to this serial injustice, and they are inappropriate to be uttered in the presence of a little boy who has not quite completed his third year.  I could say malevolent, but that doesn't even come close.  Nor does horrific -- it, too, falls short.  I know that the events that occurred on May 26, 2012 seal it for me in terms of god, or the church, or sectarian philosophy.  Complete wastes of time and energy. Imagine if all that energy were put to task in addressing our socio-cultural issues.  Drugs were athe centerpiece of his horrible crime.  From a professional standpoint I am then part of the problem, not part of the solution.  I feel this truth crawling around in my belly and it is very uncomfortable, as it should be.  In reality, there are plenty of words that can be applied to this triple murder. Riley's unimaginably torture and murder is the worst crime that anyone has ever seen in East Tennessee Appalachia. It would only take a few years for his killer to get murdered in prison via hole punched into his body.
