This is a large color photograph taken in mid sixties, I suspect. Right there in the front of the home place on Gobey Road. The person not pictured, and his or her story, right down to the brand of camera, indeed the provenance of this classic Appalachian image, will never be known. I well remember the Red Rambler sedan. It had a push-button-operated transmission device on the dash board.
